Me saw Hulk

Hulk... was Hulk. Let me first say the CGI Hulk was believable and when Hulk went smashing, Hulk was good. But I have to say the movie took forever to get its legs and get the plot going. I felt like I was Sisyphus trying to push the movie up the hill we call an origin story, which they tweaked a little. Once it got going it got good, Hulk smashed, told the not-so good guy he wouldn't like him when he got angry. His dad's kinda crazy/evil too, in a chaotic neutral sense. Not having read many Hulk comics I can't compare one to the other but I'm told for the most part the movie stays mostly true to the comic. Really I think that was my only problem with the movie, not lack of plot but almost too much of it. Betty Ross had some unknown angst with her Father, Bruce had some major but somewhat believable angst (otherwise no Hulk). Bruce and Betty have angst with each other since she dumped him before the movie began for beinging emotionally distant. (Irony!) The comic book borders were kinda neat showing you different perspectives of the same scene it was a gamble and for my money, it worked. If you're going to see this, don't expect a Spider-Man or an X-Men type movie. This is more of a drama movie and to steal a line from Sinister Urge, this is a movie about people talk to each other with one of them turning big and green and smashing things. All in all, see this movie, but see it on a matinee, dollar theater, or rental.
