So... You want to be President?

Let's face it, not everyone has the money, the political clout, the brains, the unimpeachable military service record or the inability to waffle on an important issue to run for... (What? What do you mean our current candidates don't fit that description? Fine. I'll start over).

So, you want to be President of these United States, but you a) can't get the time off work b) belong to a third party, or c)aren't Constitutionally eligible yet. Well, have no fear gentle readers. Allow me to suggest:

This is the game that fellow blogger Jim "Strange Interlude" Spurrier and I have been working on the last 6 or so months. Having located it (originally as "Landslide:The Game of Power Politics") at my grandmothers and playing it last winter, he and I decided that it needed some sprucing up. The electoral votes were now 30 years out of date, one of the colors I would liken to baby poop yellow, the politics cards had a Pepsi logo on the back, etc.

You can read what he has to say about the game here. As he says, he's a registered Democrat, and me a registered Republican, it was truly a bipartisan effort. Although, I'm sure while creating the spin cards, there was a time when Jim rolled his eyes when I made a dig at the Democrats and vice-versa.

How much is it you ask? Well my friends, if you act now (or anytime, really) you can get it for free! That's right I said FREE!

Just click this link right here to begin your download
4.4mb Zip file

After downloading and unzipping it, print it out and put it together. (Yes, some assembly is required) We recommend using a color printer and cardstock paper, but neither are necessary. (Although, I suppose you could take it to a place like Kinkos and have them do it for you).

Remember, whether your Democrat or Republican, get out and VOTE this November. If you don't vote, you can't complain!

Whoops. There was a file name issue. Case Sensitive is a harsh, harsh mistress. It's all better now.
