Yum, YumThe BBC recently had a poll of its readers of the 50 things to eat before you die. Some, are obvious, steak, chocolate, etc. Some not so much, guinnea pig just to name one. I've only eaten about half (give or take 2 or 3) of the items on the list. I probably won't get to try all of them but I'm sure to take a shot at all of them. Friday, December 03, 2004

Be It Ever So Humble...Tuesday, I got my house. I got the keys after signing about 500 sheets of paper and began moving in that day. A lot of my small stuff is already over there but I still have a long way to go. If you click on the link it's a mapquest webaddress for my house and if you want you can enter driving directions to there for future reference. I'll probably take more pictures after the new year for those who live a little further away and can't make the house warming party next month. For now I have pictures I took right after the closing, so it's empty. It's not so empty anymore because I've been moving as much little stuff as I possibly can so when we move bookcases and the like next Saturday it'll be easier. Anyway, on to the pictures!
The Front of my house, with my car in the driveway.
As you walk in the front door, the first thing you notice about this room is the freakishly low ceiling. There's no scale here but, I have about 3 to 4 inches of clearance in this room. The most popular theory is that they raised the floor when one of the previous owners raised the floor when they re-did the heating. Long, long term idea might be to turn that ceiling into a cathedral-type ceiling but that's a long way away.
This is going to my entertainment room. The entertainment center and the couch if not also the loveseat will go in this room.
This is one view of my huge kitchen. Don't ya think this needs a bar in fron of those shelves? And don't you think those shelves need bottles of alcohol?
The lighting isn't great but this is my bathroom. I'll post a better picture after I move in. It's not very big, but I don't need much.
I'm kind of disappointed with the angle, but this will be my library/geek room. All of my board games are already moved in, as well as most of my books. Again, a better picture will be posted after I move in. I didn't make this my master bedroom because behind the door with the vent is my furnace.
This is another view of my kitchen with my cabninets and appliances included in the shot.
This is my utility room/area. Watch your step if you're coming in from the back door to the kitchen.
My master bedroom. Again, I don't need much. Just enough room for my bed and my dresser.
My backyard from my back porch. There's an extra space for cars or, more likely, a place to sit for friends and family when we have grillouts. Speaking of which, at the end of the extra space I plan to BUILD a brick barbacue grill there when the weather turns nice. That and you can't really appreciate it, but the inside of the shed is HUGE. Well, there ya have it. As I said more pictures will go up after the first of the year after I get settled.
