Mike's Red Chili Recipe

In honor of Sunday's big game, I decided I would post my semi-famous chili recipe.
I stole it from a friend of mine from Bowling Green and made some improvements.

You will need:
1lb of Ground Beef (I prefer Ground Sirloin... little more expensive but leaner).
1lb Red Kidney Beans (I prefer to bagged kind over the canned kind).
3 Cans Tomato Sauce
1 Can Stewed Tomatoes
1-2 Red Chili Peppers
1 Smallish Red Onion Minced
1-2 cloves of garlic
Paprika
Red Pepper
Red Bell Pepper
Chili Powder
Oregeno
Parsely
Cumen
Crockpot or Chili Pot

Instructions:
If you buy the bagged beans soak the beans over night in the fridge.
The next day drain them off and put them in the pot.
Pour in the tomato sauce and stewed tomatoes.
Brown the ground beef and drain any grease/fat off.
Put in the ground beef and mince a clove or two of garlic, red onion and the peppers.
With the spices I don't have a specific measuring system. Since I use the crockpot, so I can slow cook it all day, I keep tasting it and adding spices until it's perfect.

Serve in bowls with saltines and shredded cheddar cheese.

Crud.

I got my taxes done today by the good people at H&R Block. I went there because owning a home makes things a lil bit more complicated. The good news is I'm getting a refund. The bad news is it's nowhere near what I estimated. I don't think they made an error, rather I didn't know how the mortgage intrest is deducted. I thought I'd get almost every penny back. I didn't. Ah well. What I'm getting is nothing to sneeze at but won't pay for the replacement windows I want for the house. Lesson learned: don't count your chickens before they hatch. (Although this is about the 4302nd time I've tried to learn this lesson)>
