California here I comeOk not really, but if i could raise the $3500 and get 65 signatures I could run for govenor of California. That is run against Father Guido Sarducci, the Terminator, Gary Coleman, the porn-star, Larry Flynt, a 100 year-old, and a former commissioner of Baseball and oh yeah the other 188 other frickin candidates! If you thought Florida 2000 was a circus, then you ain't seen nothin yet. There are some California Counties that can't handle 195 candidates. Imagine this ballot, If you think Gov. Davis should be recalled punch hole number one on ballot one. If not punch hole number two. Now, if your candidate's last name begins with the letter 'R' punch number 3. If your candidate's last name begins with the letter 'W' punch #4, ad nauseum. Yes, that's the real order they picked the order via bingo tumbler. Comparatively not that badCountdown with Keith Olbermann had an interesting piece about the first war-time correspondants, "live" from the battlefield. Live, being at the battle of Gettysburg. Nonetheless, its kind of interesting people are decrying the administration over the loss of a couple hundred lives while both sides lost 50,000 combined (killed/wounded) over the three days of battle. I can't imagine what would have happened in today's world if one side lost that many men in that short of period of time. Impeachment hearings because the President sent so many young men to die, world court hearings for war crimes, etc. Now, before you send me a nasty e-mail telling me how George's war in Iraq is wrong and we've lost too many lives already etc. I agree with you to an extent. However the deed is done and we have two choices, we can either pull out and let anarchy reign, or we can stay there help establish a democracy and pray that people will calm down and not kill anymore of service men and women. As my headline says, while it *is* tragic that we've lost so many good men and women, compared to July 1, 2, & 3 1863, it's not that bad and we should thank our lucky stars. 0 comments 0 Comments:
